WE'RE BACK - OUR FIRST WEDDING DONE!

2020 was the year that Cover'd Up - Wedding & Party band chose Ysgol Hen Felin as their charity of the year. Having worked with the school before, it was an easy decision to make. Seeing the fantastic work between the dedicated staff and amazing pupils at the school was inspiring. We took part in their first ever 'Live music festival' last year with big plans to recreate the event during the summer term of 2020.
Covid 19 has put a stop to many plans this year and has hit the wedding industry hard.

The musicians you see performing in this video have all been affected this year with weddings cancelled, postponed and live performances forbidden. Despite all of this, these companies have given up their time and services to be a part of this project with the aim of giving the pupils of Ysgol Hen Felin an opportunity to perform, as well as something to look forward to with a rescheduled music festival.
The pupils have missed out on a lot this year already. We want to make this festival bigger and better than ever before and continue to provide opportunities within the arts for these young people.
With your help, we can provide more musical opportunities next year for the pupils with live musicians and artists, musical workshops, recording opportunities and the transformation of their outdoor learning space into their own festival stage for the day.

CHRISTMAS WITH COVER'D UP
This Christmas is looking a lot different for most people. We are all having to adapt and find new ways to keep up Christmas traditions. Christmas is usually one of the busiest times of the year for us.
​
We didn't want things to change too much, so we've been hard at work behind the scenes with the hope of spreading some festive cheer from the safety of our own homes.
​
​
​
Keep your eyes peeled, as each week, we'll be releasing a festive update to share some cheer wherever you may be. We can't wait for the day that we can get back to partying with you all, but until then, we hope you enjoy our virtual offerings!
COVER'D UP - THE LOCKDOWN ALBUM 2020
We just wanted to let you know about a little project we've been putting together following the weekly Thursday doorstep performances. We've recorded a CD with all of the street performances and a few extras too. We thought it would be a great way to remind us of the special times that brought us together through the power of music!

If you would like a copy, the Limited Edition CDs are £10 and come with a free digital download voucher, plus 20% from each sold album go to local NHS charities.

COVID 19 - LATEST UPDATE​

Having worked hard behind the scenes with our clients, we have been able to successfully rearrange the booked in weddings of those who unfortunately had to postpone this year. We are keeping ourselves up to date with the latest government guidelines regarding weddings and live music performance and have undertaken detailed risk assessments and plans in line with the Musicians Union to put in place when we are given the go ahead to begin our work.
​
Please be assured that the safety of our clients and band members is our priority, we will work closely with you and plan our actions together, to ensure a stress free and safe approach to our return. We have taken the time during lockdown to secure the relevant PPE and equipment we require and look forward to being able to work together with you soon.
​
